MindMeister at MacWorld 2009

14Jan

First off, a belated Happy New Year to everybody!

So MindMeister was present at this year’s MacWorld in San Francisco. We were lucky to get a partner booth at Axiotron’s booth with a small partner stand, and Till flew in from Munich to join our US guys. Visitors could have a chat to the MeisterWorkers and marvel at MindMeister running on the latest Modbook – check out the video below to see Till demonstrate some of the new features of our latest release.

Here’s James posing happily together with Steve Wozniak, one of the founders of Apple Computer.

Making the most of a stay in the Valley the guys also met some partners and customers, such as Aaron and Jeremyfrom Box.net – nice offices btw!

meisterPunsch in Vienna

8Dec

Last night the temperatures hit freezing point again here in Vienna. What better excuse to have a few glasses of hot punch or mulled wine and discuss the latest mind mapping techniques with your fellow MindMeisters? So we’d like to invite all MindMeister users and fans in and around Vienna for a meisterPunsch on Wednesday, December 2008 in the MQ. We’ll meet at the Aloha punch booth, first round’s on us.

Please click through the slides below for more details. Hope many of you can make it, and the weather plays along (i.e. cold, clear and crisp).

Sorry out-of-towners – as a small consolation here’s a link to a very nice recipe for Glühpunsch for your DIY meisterPunsch…

MindMeister @ RailsConf Europe

28Aug

A picture named railsconf.gifLet’s make it three. I’m shifting gears to head up north to Berlin to present at Railsconf Europe. While the others stay on the shiny surface I dig deep into the inner workings of web apps.

I will show off not only MindMeister’s offline capabilities but will compare Google Gears‘ concept with Adobe AIR. The title of my talk is: Offline Rails Applications with Google Gears and Adobe AIR

I’ll also bring a pack of Premium account coupons with me. So if you’re at the conference, please do step forward, shake hands, and upgrade to premium MindMeister!

MindMeister @ Triple-I

27Aug

A picture named triple-i.pngWhile Thomas gets to travel to the beautiful Bay Area, I will have to make do with the – of course no less beautiful – city of Graz, Austria. From September 3-5 MindMeister will be exhibiting at the Triple-I Conference, formerly known as I-Know. I will also be giving a talk about the story of MindMeister in the Enterprise 2.0 track of the sessions, titled How to market a Web 2.0 product in an SaaS context (PDF). Of course I’ll be posting the slides to Slideshare too, afterwards.

Free Premium License

MindMeister is also a sponsor of the conference, and every attendee gets a coupon with a free Premium license. You can redeem the license against a new Premium account for one year, or extend your existing subscription by a year. Worth $50. Nice, eh?

If you happen to be in the general Graz area next week, do drop by and get a sneak peek at the upcoming release of MindMeister…

MindMeister @ Office 2.0

25Aug

MindMeister at Office 2.0Fall is drawing near, the leaves are turning yellow and IT conferences are springing from the ground like mushrooms. Time for us MeisterWorkers to get back on the road, partly attending conferences, partly speaking at them. First up is the brilliant Office 2.0 Conference in San Francisco, organized for the third time by the equally brilliant Ismael Ghalimi.

As one of my first “outdoor” commitments for MindMeister I’ll be going to the show this year, looking to hear lots of interesting Enterprise 2.0 talk and meet folks from the industry. As you might have read on the Office 2.0 blog, MindMeister is a bronze sponsor at the conference and we’re giving away free Premium licenses for one year for all attendees. Now, if that’s not enough of an incentive to register for Office 2.0 right away!

If you want to hook up while I’m in San Francisco please get in touch, I’m more than happy to discuss all things MindMeister with you.

Upcoming events

2Sep

Autumn looks like it will be a busy time for events for us here at MindMeister as our calendars are quickly filling up with speaking engagements at conferences and barcamps and such. Here’s a little summary – if you’re in the area and not yet signed up for one of the events below why not drop in and say hello?

At Office 2.0, Michael will present MindMeister twice during the demo tracks as well as discuss on the mind mapping panel hosted by Catherine Shinners together with other mind mapping experts from Mindjet, Itensil and SnapXT.

Both Michael and Till will present at RailsConf Europe (as I’m sure you’ve read before) and the StartupWeekend in Hamburg will be using MindMeister (driven by Till) as one of their tools to achieve their task – which is setting up an entire company in one weekend.
