User Survey 2010 results

10Feb

Late last week we concluded our User Survey 2010, receiving an astounding 4,658 responses. Before we even get into some of the results, we’d like to send out a sincere “Thank You” to all of you that responded.

As with any form of surveys, some answers are to be expected. For example, the majority of MindMeister users hail from the United States, German users taking second place, and the United Kingdom brings home the bronze podium position. In the chart below, we’ve broken out usership representing 1% or more of those that responded.

Likewise, as we suspected, almost three quarters of you are Male, and two thirds of you are between 25 and 34 years of age. The IT industry is MindMeister’s primary field of usage, however, we saw significant increases in both the Education and Marketing categories.

One question/answer that really stood out to us was the staggering amount of MindMeister users also using Google Docs / Google Apps. We figured that a number of you were using this service, but we didn’t have a clear idea of just how many. The suite of 37 Signals tools scored quite high as well, but nowhere even close to the products those in Mountain View are pushing out.

Your opinions and comments have been truly insightful, and we’ve already started working on some improvements as well as new features suggested in the survey. Again, our sincere thanks to all of you that participated!

Update: 11 February 2010 – The lucky winners have been selected and emails dispatched! :) Thanks again for all of your valuable input!

MindMeister User Survey 2010

29Jan

Update: 4 February 2010 – Many thanks to all of you who participated in our customer survey. The survey is now closed, and we will be announcing the winners of the Amazon vouchers early next week.

Here at MindMeister we’re constantly conversing with industry experts from across a wide range of disciplines, not only introducing them to what MindMeister can do for them, but also gathering their feedback. And while these conversations have yielded a number of valuable insights, they’re still one-to-one conversations. To this end, we thought we’d bring the conversation to you, and see what you’ve got to say about MindMeister. The Good, The Bad, and/or The Ugly – we want to hear it!

2010 MindMeister Survey

The survey has been designed to take no longer than 3 minutes (or less), and will not only give us a better picture of who you are, but also help us to bring you the features and improvements you’d most like to see.

Win 1 of 5 $100 gift vouchers from AmazonIf adding your voice and opinion to the conversation here at MindMeister isn’t enough to get you excited about filling out a survey, how about a chance to win one of five $100 gift certificates from Amazon? The way we see it, Amazon’s got something for everybody, why not you too?

The survey is open from Thursday, January 28th until Tuesday, February 4th at 4pm Central European Time. Winners of the raffle will be announced shortly there after.

Thanks for your continued support…we’re eagerly awaiting to hear what you’ve got to say!

MindMeister User Survey Results 2008

20Nov

You might remember that about 6 weeks ago we did a user survey, asking you MindMeisters about use cases of mind mapping, brainstorming, and planning with MindMeister. We wanted to know what you’re doing with it, what new features you’d like us to add etc. We received tons of response which is greatly appreciated – just over 1,800 filled out the four page questionnaire and helped us understand their needs and get a better idea of the road ahead.

We’ve now managed to put together some of the results here. Please check out the chart widget below and feel free to interpret the results, letting us know what you think.

User Survey – results are in

8Oct

We just closed our survey yesterday. Thanks a lot for participating. We had an overwhelming response both in terms of numbers and quantitative and qualitative input. We received 1,813 responses and lots of ideas on how to improve MindMeister and position it  successfully as a premier mind mapping application.
It’ll take some time to analyze all the results but we’ll keep you posted on our findings, and publish whatever we think may be interesting to the greater public.

In the meantime we also selected the lucky five winners of the Threadless vouchers and sent out the gift certificates – congratulations!

MindMeister User Survey

23Sep

We just published our first user survey. We believe that MindMeister is well so received because we somehow managed to hit a nerve at a certain point in time. To further refine and improve the service, however, we need the input of our community of MindMeisters.
The survey takes about 5 minutes to complete and aims to find out what our users do with MindMeister, how they benefit from it, what we can do better and what is missing completely.

Please click here to access the survey (closed)

For your input you’ll get a much better product incorporating your ideas, plus the chance to win 5 gift certificates for threadless.com T-shirts at a value of US$ 100 each! The winner will be selected by a raffle draw, not by how nice your survey responses are ;-) .
